Meeting in Turkey - Kayseri

4th International Meeting of Teachers from Primary School 4 as part of the Erasmus + Program in Kayseri

On November 27-29, 2023, the 4th International Short-Term Meeting of Teaching Staff under the Erasmus+ program took place in Kayseri (Turkey).

The mobility was hosted by Çetin Şen Science and Art Center in Kayseri. Delegations from Poland, Iceland, Ireland, Spain, Turkey, Denmark and Portugal participated in the meeting.

Teachers participating in the project had a unique opportunity to learn the specifics of working with gifted students. During their stay, the teaching staff observed the use of various teaching methods that are used at the school in Kayseri. Particular attention was paid to classes dedicated to gifted children. These were small groups in which it was possible to observe how classes tailored to the individual needs of students were conducted.

The exchange of experiences between teachers was a key element of the meeting. During joint workshops, they discussed effective teaching strategies and shared best practices.

The atmosphere in the Turkish school was open and friendly, which was conducive to building lasting relationships between teachers from the countries participating in the project. Thanks to this approach, everyone could benefit not only from the professional exchange of knowledge, but also from the cultural richness of Turkey.

The teachers' visit to Kayseri was an unforgettable experience that not only broadened the professional horizons of educators, but also contributed to building bridges between different educational systems.

Thanks to the kindness of the hosts, the teachers visited the beautiful, historic land of Cappadocia. They also tasted famous Turkish delicacies: baklava and halva.
