Innovations in Education: Summary of the Erasmus+ Discover Robotics via STEM Project

On December 3–4, 2024, the final meeting of the Erasmus+ Discover Robotics via STEM project was held at the Muslim National School in Dublin. Over two years, this project brought together nine partners from Poland, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, and Turkey to collectively enhance digital and STEM competencies among students and teachers.

Modern Education for Everyone

The project pursued ambitious goals: fostering the inclusion of students with fewer opportunities, building their self-confidence, social skills, and critical thinking. Through international training and workshops, students aged 12–15 learned programming, robotics, and problem-solving using modern tools.

Teachers also benefited from the exchange of experiences, enhancing their methods for working with students, particularly in inclusive education contexts, while deepening their knowledge of STEM and digital education.

Key Activities and Outcomes

The project included numerous workshops in partner countries, such as Spain, Portugal, and Denmark, where teachers and students participated in hands-on programming and robotics activities. An innovative mobile application, RunYours, was also developed to support practical STEM learning.

Students gained digital skills, increased motivation to learn, and improved collaboration abilities. Teachers discovered innovative teaching methods and deepened their understanding of how to support diverse educational needs.

International Collaboration and New Challenges

The project also provided an opportunity for schools and organizations from different countries to exchange experiences. "Learning about educational systems and working methods in other countries was incredibly inspiring," said Marzenna Mruk-Otulak, a representative of the Polish project partner.

Despite the challenges posed by modern technology, the project concluded successfully, with results evident not only among students and teachers but also within local communities.

The Future of Education

Discover Robotics via STEM is a testament to the effective integration of modern technology into education, empowering young people to develop future-ready skills. Thanks to initiatives like this, students gain tools to support their career paths, and schools adopt modern, inclusive approaches to teaching.
